The launch of the Diversity and Unconscious Bias Workshop is timed to coincide with the 26 day Racial Equity Journey. This workshop is the perfect bookend to the Racial Equity Journey where you can continue the work. We will be exploring all our biases and offer an opportunity to feel the impact of different biases in a safe space.

With the spotlight on Black Lives Matter, there is a focus on building equity and each of us has an important role to play. The 26 day journey focuses on racial equity whilst the workshop focuses on exploring all our biases and offers an opportunity to feel the impact of different biases in a safe space. Anyone over 18 can attend both offerings as they are not exclusive to Women Within women.

For women in WFA & WWII Leadership Roles & FITS:
Completion of either the 26 Day Journey or the Diversity and Unconscious Bias Workshop count as complying to the WWII Training Policy which requires that all leaders complete a minimum of 4 hours of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Training by the end of 2020.

Attendees of the Workshop will get a certificate of attendance as proof of compliance.

What the Workshop will offer:

Increased awareness of difference and compassion to difference.
Exploration of a woman’s conscious and unconscious biases.
Recognition of when and how unconscious bias occurs and why it's important to understand.
Strategies to counteract potential unconscious bias.
Raised curiosity of how to contribute to D&I in everyday life.
